Kamo IT Juku LLC (hereinafter, the “Company”) establishes the following Privacy Policy regarding the handling of privacy information in “Kawatta” (hereinafter, the “Service”) provided by the Company.
Article 1 (Privacy information)
- Among privacy information, “personal information” refers to “personal information” as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information — that is, information about a living individual that can identify the specific individual by the name, date of birth, address, phone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in that information.
- Among privacy information, “history information and characteristic information” means information other than the “personal information” defined above, and refers to such things as the services you have used, the products you have purchased, the history of pages and advertisements you have viewed, the date and time of use, the method of use, the usage environment, postal code, gender, occupation, age, IP address, cookie information, location information, and device identification information.

Article 3 (Purposes of collecting and using personal information)
The purposes for which the Company collects and uses personal information are as follows.
- To change and improve the content of the Company’s services, using such things as users’ usage status of the Company’s services
- To respond to inquiries from users, using the information necessary regarding the content of the inquiry, the user’s usage status of the Company’s services, contact information, and the like
- To notify users of changes to the terms and the like regarding the Service
- To inform users of event information for the Company’s other services, apps, seminars, and the like
- Other purposes incidental to the purposes of use above
Article 4 (Provision of personal information to third parties)
- Except in the following cases, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user’s prior consent. However, this excludes cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws.
- When based on laws
- When it is especially necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound upbringing of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or a party entrusted by them in carrying out affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the performance of those affairs
- When the following matters have been announced or made public in advance
- That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties
- The items of data provided to third parties
- The means or method of provision to third parties
- That provision of personal information to third parties will be stopped at the request of the individual
- Notwithstanding the preceding item, the following cases shall not be deemed provision to a third party.
- When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
- When personal information is provided in connection with the succession of a business due to a merger or other reason
- When personal information is used jointly with a specific party, and the Company has, in advance, notified the individual of, or placed in a state where the individual can readily know, that fact together with the items of personal information used jointly, the scope of joint users, the purposes of use by those users, and the name of the party responsible for managing the personal information
Article 5 (Disclosure of personal information)
- When requested by the individual to disclose personal information, the Company will disclose it to the individual without delay. However, if disclosure would fall under any of the following, the Company may not disclose all or part of it, and if it decides not to disclose, it will notify the individual to that effect without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
- When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
- When there is a risk of significantly impeding the proper conduct of the Company’s business
- When it would otherwise result in a violation of laws
- Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as history information and characteristic information, will, as a rule, not be disclosed.
Article 6 (Correction and deletion of personal information)
- If the personal information held by the Company about a user is incorrect, the user may request the Company to correct or delete the personal information in accordance with the procedures determined by the Company.
- If the Company receives a request under the preceding paragraph from a user and determines that it is necessary to comply with that request, it will correct or delete the personal information without delay and notify the user accordingly.
Article 7 (Suspension of use of personal information, etc.)
If the individual requests the suspension or erasure (hereinafter, “suspension of use, etc.”) of personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use, or that it was obtained by improper means, the Company will conduct the necessary investigation without delay and, based on the results, will suspend the use, etc. of the personal information and notify the individual accordingly. However, where suspension of use, etc. of the personal information requires substantial cost or is otherwise difficult, and where alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the individual can be taken, the Company will take such alternative measures.
Article 8 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
The Company will review the operational status of its handling of personal information as appropriate and strive for continuous improvement, and may change this Privacy Policy as necessary. The revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from its effective date.
